Description
In the 1950's and 60's Marvin's grocery store on the corner of Wiseman and Ball in the Park Extension area of Montreal was only a few houses away from my home. In this painting, I imagined what the scene would have been like back then and I recreated the storefront with all the old-fashioned products in the window along with a Kik Cola sign. I added the J.J. Joubert milk truck because at the time the J.J.Joubert Dairy Company was one of the largest milk distributors in the city.
A few boys are on their way to hockey practice and they are wearing the jerseys of their favorite hockey teams.
I've been told by my clients that these paintings or prints make perfect and very welcomed gifts as they are so full of color and joy. This painting is a 9x12 on canvas and the original is for sale.
The Fine Art America watermark on the lower right-hand corner will not appear on the final prints or products.
