The year is 1979 and the painting is a re-creation and re-imagining of the famous Stanley Cup Playoff game when Don Cherry placed too many men on the ice and still lost the game and the Stanley Cup to the Montreal Canadiens. In the background we can see the famous Farine Five Roses sign and the giant Milk bottle.
