This particular seafood restaurant with the bright blue door caught my eye. I stopped in my tracks when I saw the beautiful unique signage with its yellow and orange sky set upon the pretty blue waters of Iles De La Madeleine, a red house and happy little birds in flights. The delicious warm aromas of homemade chowder transported me back to when I visited to those islands several years ago. I found myself under their spell and I realized I had to paint this place and sample its delicious cuisine. The buildings are old, lived-in and beloved by families,shop keepers, neighbors and visitors like myself who stumble upon a new eatery in a charming weathered brick bistro.Perhaps it was the bright blue door that first caught my attention.
