Streetcar trips with my Mom and grandmother played such an important role for me while growing up in the 50's in Montreal. This particular streetcar rode along St. Catherine street in downtown Montreal towards the many large department stores. As a young girl of 9, I would attend Saturday morning Ar classes at the Montreal Museum of Fine Art and after the class, my Mom and grandma would head out towards the Honey Dew Restaurant next door to the Bay department store for grilled cheese sandwiches and fries. After lunch we would go to the Steinberg's Grocery store which was housed in the giant basement of the Bay department store.
