Description
It's April in the city and finally the snow has melted. Street hockey, rink hockey, pond hockey, back lane hockey school yard hockey, all kinds of hockey are really popular in Montreal. Kids move to indoor rinks to keep the game alive twelve months a year. But neighborhood hockey pals will set up a quick game of street hockey out on a sidewalk, garage driveway or in front of a favorite store, anywhere the lighting is good before their bus arrives or before Mom and Dad call out, " Supper's on the table'.
These hockey buddies have set up in front of a Wellington street ice cream shop. This Bar Laitier on Wellington street serves up 31 yummy flavors, including green tea and my all-time favorite Rum and Raisin ice cream. Today is a bit chilly to indulge in an ice cream cone but the month of May will arrive and it's the perfect month to try one of the "eight flavor bursts" this ice cream parlor features. Who doesn't like ice cream since it goes well with ice hockey on a hot summer's day.
