Artist's Description

In 1971, Frank Zappa was at the height of his career and I was at the start of mine. I was a young Art educator in my early 20`s enamored by singer songwriters, creative musical innovators, jazz, pop,and classical composers. I surrounded myself with creative and vibrant sights and sounds as I painted. I filled my studio with unique and diverse sound recordings which energized my paintings of landscapes, portraits, still life, florals and street scenes. Frank Zappa was an unique character, difficult to label as he was so gifted that he crossed so many genres of music. He was a true talent, an American cultural legend.
