Description
This is a fun painting of a typical Quebec village in 1949 where we can see the village in the background with the village church occupying the prominent position. There are twelve players on the ice and eleven of them all want to be Maurice Richard of the Montreal Canadiens and wear the number 9 jersey. One goal tender is wearing the Maple Leaf jersey. The referee is of course the local priest who is wearing a cassock and priest hat.
